“She is finally at peace in the arms of God,”
Yesterday on July 26, 2015, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late great pop icon Whitney Houston and R&B’s original bad boy Bobby Brown, died surrounded by her family at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. She was 22 years old.
Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31, 2015, and was then taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, where she was put on a ventilator to assist her breathing. She was later placed in a medically induced coma at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital. Nearly two months later, she was moved to a rehabilitation center, where she remained until June 24, 2015, when she was moved to the hospice center where she died on Sunday.
Houston’s Family Statement:
“She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love & support during these last few months.”
Bobbi & Whitney
Bobbi Kristina Brown had a very close relationship with her mother, Whitney Houston. She was 18 years old when Whitney died and was in the lobby of the Beverly Hilton when she was informed of her mother’s death. According to reports at the time, she suffered a hysterical breakdown and had to be sedated and hospitalized. After being treated for severe stress and anxiety, the hospital discharged her.
Bobbi Kristina Brown regrouped and pursued a career in acting. She played recurring role of Tina, Jennifer’s college-aged daughter, on TBS comedy-drama Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse. However, she did not continue acting and toyed with the idea of following in her mother’s footsteps of becoming a singer.
A family source told Entertainment Tonight that Bobbi Kristina would be given a funeral service this week in Atlanta, Georgia, after which her body will be flown to New Jersey where she will be buried alongside her mother, Whitney Houston.
Today, on July 27, 2015, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office began its autopsy on Bobbie Kristina Brown and reported there was no evidence of previously unknown medical conditions or significant injuries. The medical examiner’s office says it is ordering lab tests and has issued subpoenas for documents — likely Brown’s hospital records — to help determine a cause and manner of death. The agency says a ruling should take several weeks.
The passing of Bobbi Kristina Brown really saddened me. May she rest in peace! My heartfelt prayers & deepest condolences to the Brown-Houston Family.
