New York City’s favorite four pizza-eating mutant crime-fighters Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back on the big screen today, June 3, 2016, forTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the sequel to 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Starring Megan Fox, Stephen Amell and Will Arnett, this is an action packed film that the entire family can enjoy this weekend. Ninja Turtles is already a popular trend on social media.
The plot of the new film is interesting. The Ninja Turtles (Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo) come into conflict with T.C.R.I. scientist Dr. Baxter Stockman, the return of their archenemy, The Shredder, who has hired Dr. Baxter Stockman to create mutants of his own in the form of Bebop and Rocksteady to even the score, during which the Ninja Turtles discover a Retro-Mutagen in hopes they can become humans following an extraterrestrial invasion above New York City led by the Dimension X inhabitant known as Krang. Upon Krang’s Invasion, the Ninja Turtles are joined in the fight with their Master Splinter, their human friends April O’Neil, Vern Fenwick and the vigilante Casey Jones.
New York Knicks superstar player Carmelo Anthony made a cameo in the film during an actual home game against the LA Clippers at Madison Square Garden.
“It’s a cool thing to be in movies like this. I love these movies because it’s a super hero element and a super world and the way people respond to it is really fun,” said Megan Fox.
CBS4’s Lisa Petrillo asked Stephen Amell about having the tough job of playing Megan Fox’s love interest, Casey Jones.
“I mean there’s not a day I don’t wake up in a cold sweat thinking of what an arduous hill that was to climb,” Amell said joking. “Megan is fantastic.”
The Ninja Turtles are the Official NYC Family Ambassadors

They appeared on ads throughout Gotham City and across the globe that promote tourist locales such as the Bronx Zoo, the Staten Island Ferry, and Brooklyn Bridge.
“As native New Yorkers, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the perfect choice to encourage visitors from around the globe to find their own adventures in the city that never sleeps,” said Pam Kaufman, chief marketing officer and president of consumer products for Nickelodeon.
Nickelodeon’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is in its fourth season.
