Two decades ago today, on March 9, 1997, the hip-hop world lost arguably the greatest rapper of all time Christopher Wallace, also known as Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls. He was shot seven times by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles after leaving an after party hosted by Vibe magazine and Qwest Records at the Petersen Automotive Museum. He dies shortly after at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Biggie Smalls was 24 years old. This was perhaps the saddest day in the history of hip-hop.
