If we include the postseason, LeBron James is an exceptional player who has scored over 48,000 points in the NBA. He has been the most hyped NBA prospect of all time and has lived up to the hype and surpassed it. LeBron James holds the records for most regular season, playoff, and combined points and has been named to 20 NBA All-Star teams, becoming the first player in league history to achieve this.

Even though the LA Lakers lost the game 114–124, it was a great moment to witness LeBron achieve a historic milestone in his career. He finished the game with 26 points, bringing his career total to 40,017 points, and nine assists while extending his NBA-record double-digit scoring streak to 1,205 games, dating back to January 2007.

Lakers center Anthony Davis believes that LeBron James’s scoring record is unlikely to be surpassed by any player. He explained that LeBron’s record is only going to increase, and the gap is going to get bigger and bigger, thanks to LeBron’s participation in eight straight Finals, which has helped him play longer and score more points. The first NBA game that I would go to live at MSG would be to watch LeBron James play against the New York Knicks. Lucky for me, my intuition was correct 15 years ago, on February 4, 2009.

LeBron James’ game against the Knicks on February 4, 2009, at Madison Square Garden is widely regarded as one of the most iconic performances in NBA history. LeBron James scored 52 points, grabbed ten rebounds, and dished out 11 assists in the game, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 107–102 victory over the Knicks. At that time, LeBron’s 52 points were the most while getting a triple-double since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976–77.

The cultural impact of this game cannot be overstated. It cemented James’ status as one of the greatest players ever and helped establish Madison Square Garden as the “Mecca” of basketball. Los Angeles Lakers Win Inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament Championship

The Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA Cup and $500,000 for each player on their team by beating the Indiana Pacers 123–109 on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. They are the first-ever In-Season Tournament champions of the NBA, as they remained undefeated throughout the tournament with a 7–0 record. LeBron James was named the In-Season Tournament MVP for his impressive performance, scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals while shooting 47.6% from the field. LeBron James averaged 26.4 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 7.6 APG, 56.8 FG%, and 60.1 3P% during the tournament. “We made history,” said James. “The first In-Season Tournament belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers. That will never be topped. Ever.”

Anthony Davis, James’ teammate, scored 41 points, grabbed 20 rebounds, and had five assists in the final game. Head coach Darvin Ham praised the duo for their excellent teamwork and called them “a hell of a one-two punch.” Davis also mentioned their partnership: “We’ve been doing it together for a long time, five years now, and we just figured it out. He is a prime example of living up to and exceeding expectations while accepting the responsibilities that come with it; changing the lives and fate of others along the way. Not just one of the best stories in all of sports, but one of the most inspiring and best life stories in general. LeBron James is truly a modern global icon!

LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players ever, and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player of all time. Playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron is the only player in NBA history to have won NBA championships with three franchises as Finals MVP. He has competed in ten NBA Finals, including eight-consecutive with the Heat and Cavaliers from 2011 through 2018. His accomplishments include four NBA championships, four NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards, four Finals MVP Awards, and two Olympic gold medals. During his impressive 18-year career, LeBron holds the record for all-time playoffs points, is third in all-time points, and eighth in career assists. He has been selected to the All-NBA First Team a record 13 times, made the All-Defensive First Team five times, and has played in 16 All-Star Games, in which he was selected All-Star MVP three times.

LeBron James moves past Kobe Bryant for 3rd all-time on the NBA scoring list

Last night, on January 25, 2020 at 10:13 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, LA Lakers superstar LeBron James added another milestone to his legendary career by passing NBA icon Kobe Bryant for third all-time in NBA scoring with a layup in a televised game against the Philadelphia 76ers. It was only fitting that LeBron James achieved the accolade in Kobe Bryant’s hometown of Philly.

The 76ers took a moment to recognize LeBron James’ feat and the crowd stood and cheered for James, who got up, after taking congratulations from his teammates, to acknowledge the crowd. The moment was awesome!

What was also cool about last night was the fact that LeBron James wrote a message on his shoes to honor Kobe Bryant. He wrote “Mamba 4 Life” and had the numbers 8 and 24, along with Kobe’s initials, written on the shoe. Kobe Bryant wore both 8 and 24 during his NBA career.
